Creation Concept of “Adventures of Momoking”
“Journey to the West” is cultural treasure of China. Numerous readers in China or even from overseas are fascinated by the wonderful story and its individual characters. As continuation to “Journey to the West”, “Adventures of Momoking” makes something new out of it and describes the fantastic world that is 500 years after the Journey from a new angle. It tells about the children’s adventures and the fight between the justice and the evil. Children will learn to cherish friends, help each other and overcome difficulties together.
It is a motivational animation about growth. Children’s innocence is clearly shown through the thrilling plot and the frames and sounds. Hope the sunshine of love and beauty cast to the innocent minds of children and accompany them to the true, good and beautiful world.
The animated Momoking series are paperless 2D (with some 3D technique) animations. We began to create them at the end of 2008. We planned to produce six seasons, 26 episodes for each season, about 13 minutes for each episode. There will be 156 episodes and about 2000 minutes in total. The 52-episode “Adventures of Momoking I & II” (624 minutes) have been finished; the 52-episode “Adventures of Momoking III & IV” (676 minutes) have also been finished; the 52-episode “Adventures of Momoking V & VI” (728 minutes) will be finished in 2012.
Brief Introduction of “Adventures of Momoking I”
In the remote Momoland live hard-working and kind-hearted Momo members. Momoking and his friends get involved in an earthshaking plot by chance. To save their friends and maintain the world peace, they take the tough mission and set out on an adventurous journey. They go across a vast sea, overcome many difficulties, fight against bad guys and make many new friends. Finally, they reach East Kingdom and travel back through time to Ming Dynasty to find the manuscript of “Journey to the West”. But unluckily, they fall into a trap of some evil guys. However, the kids beat the evil with their faith and will in the end.
Brief Introduction of “Adventures of Momoking II”
The students and the intern teacher of Momo Primary School are attacked by pirates on their way home from a summer camp on Boboland. Momoking and his friends help the rest run away but they have to stay with the pirates. And their yacht floats to Children Kingdom on the Sea of Death. The pirate trios are put into jail by the soldiers there. Momoking and his friends find that all people in Children Kingdom are kids and they grow younger and younger. Later Momoking finds that they were forced to take elixir of life by Tongtongxian who make the kids build a large playground. Momoking and his friends unite the people and beat Tongtongxian. But as Tongtongxian disappears, they know nothing about the antidote to the elixir of life. So they go back to Momoland and ask Grandpa Mo.
As Grandpa Mo tells, Momoking and some others go to Mount Kunlun. Then Momoking goes to heaven through the gates on the mountain. Momoking meets Dr. Turtle and his ancestor Monkey King who give him a transformation card and some information about the antidote and the treasure map. They meet many difficulties in their treasure hunting journey. Finally, they find the largest treasure in the world in a cave beside a lake in Duoduoli Kingdom. And the recipe of the antidote is recorded in a book among the treasure. Zhuzhu develops the antidote according to the recipe and save the people in Children Kingdom. When they finish the mission, Momoking and his friends are awarded with badges.
Brief Introduction of “Adventures of Momoking III” – “Momoking Universal Treasure Hunting”
Zhang Ban and Lu Ban carelessly drop the magic treasure box to the human world. The heavenly treasures will disturb the human world. So Jade Emperor sends Momoking and his friends, who are still undergoing training, to collect the lost treasures in the human world. Then Momoking sets off for the treasure hunting journey with Golden Cudgel, his transformation cards, the Golden Ring and a collecting record.
In the thrilling treasure hunting trip, with the appearance of the Red Kid, the plot of the Seven Demon Kings, led by Bull Demon King, is uncovered. Momoking and his friends overcome the dangers with their wits and courage and destroy the Seven Demon Kings’ plot - to ruin the heavenly palace with the treasures. Momoking and his friends finish their task. Then they return to the heavenly palace and become real immortals.
Brief Introduction of “Adventures of Momoking IV” – “Little Great Hero Momoking”
The seven demon kings, led by Bull Demon King, pound the heavenly palace with the weapon that can conquer the world that is among the greatest treasure in the world in Lei Yin Temple. They try to subvert the world. Momoking and his friends sneak into Lei Yin Temple and destroy the weapon. So they stop a disaster for the heavenly palace but become the target of the seven demon kings. Monkey King, Yang Jian and Ne Zha have life-and-death fights against the seven demon kings who later are killed except Flood Dragon King. The Heavenly Palace has been saved from falling to the land, but it is running off its track to the sun because of its dying core. To save the earth, Momoking and his friends go to Purple Planetesimal to borrow Nv Wa Stone with the help of Yuan Shi Buddha. They defeat Flood Dragon King on Purple Planetesimal and get Nv Wa Stone and Pan Gu Streamer with which they restore the order in earth.
The justice finally defeats the evil. In the end, Tong Tian Emperor and the seven demon kings disappear in the vast universe.
Brief Introduction of “Adventures of Momoking V” – “Unexpected Super Power of Momoking”
Momoking gets the power of Xing Tian unexpectedly. With the power, Momoking and his friends scare away a cheater, help a white snake to finish its mission, have a match, help dinosaurs to find their way home, defeat powerful enemy and so on. On the other hand, he makes much trouble too and sometimes it even threatens his life. The bracelet Monkey King gives him can only control the power for now. Once Momoking takes it off, the power of Xing Tian will become harder for him to control. Momoking, who takes helping others as his duty, always takes off the bracelet. So, good deeds often lead to disturbance for the power of Xing Tian brings much trouble to the world. Later, Monkey King teaches Momoking how to control the power and stop making more trouble. Amir takes away the power of Xing Tian with Yin Yang Mirror from Momoking but in the end the heaven takes both the power and the mirror back. Momoking is uninjured and realizes the true meaning of hero. Being a hero is not about having super power but a heart that is willing to sacrifice and help.
